VOTING RIGHTS

In recent weeks, lawmakers in 43 states have introduced provisions designed to restrict voting access for their own constituents. These lawmakers seek to limit early voting periods, end weekend voting, limit mail in voting, require that ballots be notarized (also known as a Poll Tax) and end 24 hour ballot drop off boxes.

NGAN LEGAL ADVOCACY FUND

We have established a fundraiser to cover bail and other legal expenses for protesters arrested in Dallas, TX in connection to protests against George Floyd’s murder by Minneapolis police, along with general police brutality. At last count, more than 84 protestors were arrested. We expect that number to rise — processing appears to be unusually slow at the Dallas County Jail.
